Living in the Tidewater Area is
is both interesting and fun. Experience the Atlantic ocean, sailing, surfing, swimming, fishing
and diving. Or try the Chesapeake Bay. There are miles of clean sand where you can
play volleyball or simply lay back on your towel and watch the dolphins. Try a stroll on the
famous Virginia Beach boardwalk, take a spin on the carousel, eat in fabulous restaurants or
listen to a band at the oceanfront. Take a bike or a hike over marshland studded with knobby
cypress knees or through a forest of water oaks draped with lacy Spanish moss. Surf the wind or
go inland and golf, shop, canoe, pick strawberries, explore a museum and fly a kite. This is
the Tidewater area of Virginia and North Carolina.
